Cognac GILLES BRISSON is a family estate for four generations, located in Châteaubernard, right in the heart of Grande Champagne, the most prestigious cru of the Cognac appellation.
Since 1989, Cyril Brisson has been managing the estate, passionately perpetuating the know-how passed down from his father. Today, his sons Alexis, Marveen and Loan represent the new generation, ready to carry on the secrets of the family business.
Located just 3 km from the town of Cognac, our estate is one of the last independent family operations in the region. It spans 75 hectares of 100% Ugni Blanc vines. Dedicated to sustainable viticulture, we are CEC (Cognac Environmental Certification) certified Cognac producers.
The Brisson family likes to remind that "perfection takes time", which is why our cognacs age in our cellars well beyond the legal requirements. This patience reveals all the aromatic intensity and silky texture unique to Grande Champagne.

Our VSOP won Gold in 2024 with a score of 86/100. The jury praised its harmony and exceptional tasting quality.
XO : Silver Medal. A complex nose of dried fruits, nuts and leather. On the palate, a creamy texture reveals floral notes evolving towards cinnamon.
VSOP : Silver Medal. A gourmet nose of butterscotch and apple. Rich palate (coffee, orange zest, fig) with a surprising mint-chocolate finish.
Validated by the excellent score of 97/100, the tasting profile of this cognac reveals a remarkably silky palate with precise aromas of dried fig and plum, finishing on a long note combining rich cocoa, cayenne pepper and clove. 2020
NAPOLEON : 93/100. Behind its spicy caramel nose, this Cognac reveals a palate of surprising delicacy where caramel, oak, tea, vanilla, sarsaparilla and clove rigorously harmonize.
VSOP : 94/100. This Cognac with scents of baked apple and dried orange deploys a gourmet palate of caramel and mocha, enhanced by a finish of spices and citrus.
VS : 91/100. Under a nose of baked apple and vanilla, this brandy deploys an oak, cedar and chamomile palate, concluding on a long finish of sweet spices, polished with almond and vanilla.
